Reporting a problem
Please include your Chrome version, Bad Cookie version, operating system, what you expected, what happened and the steps that reproduce the issue. If a website is involved, include its domain only if you are comfortable sharing it.
Screenshots are optional. Redact personal information and sensitive page details. Never send passwords, cookie values, authentication tokens or a full browser-data export. Bad Cookie does not automatically send us your inventory or assessment results.
A website stopped working
Turn tracking-request blocking off in Bad Cookie's Danger Zone, then reload the website and try again. You can also disable the extension in Chrome's extension settings to check whether it is involved. Closing the side panel does not stop blocking.
Cookies or results are missing
Check Bad Cookie's site-access permissions in Chrome and confirm whether your inventory is set to the current site or all accessible sites. Some browser contexts, protected pages and cookie partitions are unavailable to extensions. Missing or empty results are not proof that no cookies or privacy risks exist.
Cookies returned after deletion
Websites can create new cookies when you reload, sign in or continue browsing. An observed return does not by itself prove hidden tracking or that the original deletion failed.
A purge was incomplete
Check the operation's reported result and the scope you confirmed. Chrome may restrict removal or prevent Bad Cookie from verifying all remaining data. Save any important website work before trying again. Purging does not remove information already held by a website's servers.
Undoing a deletion
Bad Cookie cannot restore deleted cookies or website storage. You may need to sign in again, reset website preferences or use the website's own recovery options.
Removing Bad Cookie
Open Chrome's Extensions menu, choose Manage Extensions, find Bad Cookie and select Remove. This stops the extension. It does not restore data removed earlier or erase information held by websites.
